Family Customs
With Family being at the forefront of Robbi AK’s design, I leaned into what made them unapologetically who they are. Echoing that original Robbi AK influence, with a peace sign for all who are welcome and a middle finger to those that aren’t. I respect that. It’s not about being like every other family, it’s about them being a part of theirs.
One making footsteps
The other following in them.
Using locations from family vacations, I tattooed backgrounds which highlighted fond family memories alongside Robbi’s well known street style. A style which Theo (his son) has drawn his own inspiration from.
Emphasising Robbi’s stylistic choices I added a touch of gold throughout the Customs to make them as individual to him as possible.
For the inside panels I made it even more personal, showing the other side of Robbi AK. His beautiful wife, who isn’t in front of the camera as much, and his son Ollie’s genuine laughter as he cracks up during one of Robbi’s iconic unboxings.
I love these kind of portraits. No posing in place. Real people with real confidence being unapologetically who they are.
In the background, locations which Robbi will forever hold dear. Icelandic scenes of natural beauty which tie back to his heritage.
Finally we can’t forget the unforgettable. The four legged family member that continued to show his personality until the end.
