This Privacy Policy explains how Mark the AyJay collects, uses and protects personal information provided by visitors to marktheayjay.co.uk and people who contact me about my tattooed leather services. Mark the AyJay is a sole-trader business providing tattooed leather services and selling existing tattooed leather items through the online store. I take the privacy of your personal information seriously and only collect information that I reasonably need in order to respond to enquiries, understand your requirements and provide my services.

When you submit an enquiry through my website, TikTok enquiry form or by email, I may collect:

Your budget or expected price range

Information about the item you would like to have tattooed, including whether it is footwear, an accessory or another leather item
Details about any additional touches you would like, such as particular colours, effects or other design preferences

If you submit an enquiry through a TikTok form, the information you provide may include your name, email address, telephone number, budget, concept or idea, the type of leather item involved, and any additional design requirements you provide. I collect this information so that I can better understand your requirements and streamline the enquiry process before contacting you. The information is handled by me as the person responsible for the Mark the AyJay business. I do not sell your personal information or use it for unrelated purposes.
6. Email communications

I do not currently use enquiry information to send general marketing emails.

8. Payments
Payments for commissions may be processed through PayPal. I do not receive or store your full PayPal payment credentials, such as your PayPal password or full payment-card details. Payment information is processed by PayPal in accordance with its own privacy policy and terms.
9. Orders and delivery
Existing tattooed leather items can be purchased through my online store. Where an order needs to be delivered, I may need to use your name and delivery information to arrange delivery through Royal Mail or another appropriate delivery provider, depending on your location. Only information necessary to fulfil the delivery will be used for this purpose.
10. Website analytics and cookies
My website is hosted using Squarespace and uses Squarespace Analytics to help me understand how visitors use the website and to improve its performance. Analytics information may include information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, interactions with the website and other technical information. Squarespace explains that its analytics tools may collect information including browser, network and device information, IP address, pages visited and website interactions. Where applicable, non-essential cookies will be handled in accordance with applicable UK cookie and privacy requirements.
11. TikTok and advertising
I may use TikTok to promote Mark the AyJay and receive enquiries. If you interact with my TikTok advertising or enquiry forms, TikTok may process information in accordance with TikTok’s own privacy policies and terms. Information that you submit directly to me through a TikTok enquiry form is handled by me for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
12. How long I keep your information
I will not keep personal information for longer than is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Enquiry information may be retained for a reasonable period after an enquiry has ended so that I can manage follow-up communications, keep appropriate records and deal with any subsequent commission or purchase. Information relating to completed purchases or commissions may need to be kept for longer where this is necessary for accounting, tax, legal or other legitimate business-record requirements.
